Dinner, fireworks and fun! What could be better?

Show up around 7:00, grab a bite to eat, play some yard games, and then get settled in for the fireworks show!

To start the fun, we’re going to have tons of yummy food. For the seafood lovers out there, we’re going to have Maine Lobster Rolls. If you’ve not had one, and you like Lobster, you’re not going to want to miss it! We take a New England Style Hot Dog Roll (which are very different than the ones you buy in Missouri!), butter and grill it until it’s toasty brown, fill it with ice-cold Lobster “salad” (chunks of lobster with mayo, a spritz of lemon juice and a variety of spices), sprinkle some paprika on the top and you’re set to venture off to a land of delight!

For those that don’t like seafood, we’re going to have BBQ! Brisket, chicken, pork… anything that can be turned into a sandwich! We’ll also have coleslaw, baked beans, macaroni salad, potato salad, corn-on-the-cob, potato chips, jello salads, pies, cakes… you name it! And we’ll have soda, lemonade and iced tea to quench your thirst!

For the entertainment part, we’re going to have fireworks! But this is where we would like to ask YOU for some help! If you would be generous enough to contribute some fireworks, we would be grateful… whether it’s a few items, a grocery bag full, or a truckload. It helps provide a variety of stuff, along with being more gentle on our wallets.

So bring some folks (invite your friends and family!), some lawnchairs/blankets to sit on, some fireworks, and be prepared to have fun!

Come join us for an evening of fun! Join in on a game of Texas Hold’em Poker, or just have a seat and chat with friends!

The fun begins with dinner being served at 6:30pm. The game will start around 7:00pm.

The menu this month will be “Summer Fare”. The selection will include: hotdogs, bratwurst (both regular and cheddar), polish sausage, cold salads (pasta and lettuce) and bundt cake for dessert! In addition to this, we’ll have plenty of snacks, soda, booze (we stock Bud Light and Michelob Ultra, as well as having a well stocked bar of hard liquor. If there is a specific type of beer/malt beverage you would prefer, please feel free to bring it!).

Feel free to bring/invite your spouse/SO, friends, family, co-workers, etc. Our poker room can hold 18 folks, and we can seat another 6-8 at the kitchen table. Our games are always interesting, and fun!

For those interested in playing poker, the rules are as follows: $20 buy-in. $10 re-buys. .25/.50 blinds. Show up when you can, leave when you have to!

IF YOU DON’T PLAY POKER- that is no excuse to not attend… we have plenty of folks playing poker, and we have folks that don’t play poker. So, if you want to bring your spouse, or some friends, and they don’t play poker, that’s fine… there will be other folks to chat with.
